Our requirements vary for a few specialist roles and therefore before you apply we recommend that you review the specific academic requirements on the vacancy job description.

Requirements & Qualifications

You will need to have obtained or be studying towards at least a 2:1 in any degree discipline, and have graduated by September 2021, as well as achieved at least 104 UCAS points (260 UCAS points pre-2017) for your A levels (or equivalent), at least a grade 4 (C) in English language and at least a grade 5 (B) in Maths in your GCSEs (or equivalent).

Your professional experience

This is your opportunity to join our Real Estate Consulting team, comprised of property, finance and construction professionals. The team advises property owners, corporate occupiers, government, investors, lenders and leaders of major capital projects on their complex property and infrastructure-related business issues. Join us and you will work with clients from across the public and private sector, facing complex real estate related business challenges.

Our structured graduate programme will support you in the development of key real estate consulting skills, including:

  • High-impact reports and presentations
  • Technical real estate skills and their practical application

Key responsibilities and typical assignments might include:

  • Developing the business case and delivery strategy for a major capital investment programme
  • Working with corporate real estate teams on their data & management information strategies
  • Advising the public sector on a significant policy change and supporting them through its implementation
  • Undertaking a business review of a contractor or house builder on behalf of its lending banks
  • Working with a cross-firm team on a global cost reduction programme
  • Undertaking detailed financial and commercial analysis to solve complex problems
  • Preparing reports and presentations to support client conversations 

As a graduate joining Real Estate Consulting, you would follow the usual course of CIMA training. Your training plan would set you up to qualify under the Certificate level within your first few months, before deciding with the team whether you wish to progress at further qualification levels (Operational, Management, Strategic) over time.

Due to the Economics and Financial content of elements within the CIMA qualification, pre-existing knowledge or experience of Economics or Finance can be helpful.

Join Real Estate Planning & Development and you’ll provide our Real Estate clients with strategic development advice - working with commercial, mixed-use, and residential space on a wide range of projects.

Your professional experience

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte’s Real Estate Planning & Development team, working with our private and public sector clients on major development projects.

The team advise public sector bodies, landowners and developers on over 100 million sq ft of commercial, mixed-use and residential space nationally, providing transaction, development consultancy and land assembly advice. We help clients with everything from buying and selling development land to advising on land assembly strategies and procurement of development partners.

In order to apply you will need to either: have obtained or be studying towards a minimum of a 2.1 in a fully RTPI accredited undergraduate degree, and have graduated by Autumn 2021; OR be studying towards an RTPI accredited postgraduate Masters degree, which you will complete by Autumn 2021, having already obtained a 2.1 in any undergraduate degree.

You will also need to have achieved at least 104 UCAS points (260 UCAS points pre-2017) for your A levels (or equivalent), at least a grade 4 (C) in English language and at least a grade 5 (B) in Maths in your GCSEs (or equivalent).

Real Estate Town Planning:

Work with clients at a strategic level to address complex planning and development challenges. You’ll gain experience across all areas. From housing regeneration schemes, to preparing and managing planning applications for major commercial, retail, residential, institutional, culture and heritage, sport and infrastructure schemes.

You’ll develop not just your technical expertise but your analytical ability and interpersonal skills too. You’ll work with a broad spectrum of clients including landowners, investors, developers, corporate occupiers, government departments, local authorities, third sector organisations, cultural institutions and infrastructure providers.

Your professional experience

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte’s Real Estate Planning team. We work at a strategic level with our clients to deliver integrated town planning solutions to help deliver major housing, regeneration schemes and infrastructure projects.  We combine our planning consultancy skills with the expertise of colleagues specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment, Development Consultancy, Affordable Housing and Economic Assessment teams to address complex town planning and development challenges. 

We prepare and manage planning applications for major commercial, retail, residential, institutional, culture and heritage, sport and infrastructure schemes. Other work includes provide planning due diligence and reviews for clients and strategic planning which includes site promotion and advising clients on the local plan making process.  

As a Graduate Town Planner within our team, you will be encouraged and supported from the get go, to engage with key projects and to take ownership of appropriate workstreams within project teams.
