Requirements & Qualifications

Cyber Risk and Strategy - You will need to have obtained or be studying towards a 2:1 in any degree discipline, and have graduated by September 2021, as well as achieved 260 UCAS points for your A levels (or equivalent), grade 4 (C) in English language and grade 5 (B) in Maths in your GCSEs (or equivalent).

Cyber Technical Advisory - You will need to have obtained or studying towards a 2:1 in one of the below degree disciplines and have graduated by September 2021, or have a 2:1 in any degree subject but working towards a Masters in one of the below degree disciplines, as well as achieved 260 UCAS points for your A levels (or equivalent), grade 4 (C) in English language and grade 5 (B) in Maths in your GCSEs (or equivalent).

Your opportunity

Cyber Risk and Strategy

Not every job within Deloitte Cyber requires a technical background. As cyber-attacks occur with greater frequency and severity, board members and executives are realise that technology solutions are just one part of a comprehensive approach to managing their cyber risk. Within this stream, you’ll be helping clients to identify and protect their critical data so they can not only survive, but also thrive, in a competitive market place. You’ll work with organisations to:

  • Identify and understand their key business risks and cyber-threat exposures
  • Advise on data usage in a secure and ethical way in a heightened regulatory landscape
  • Create training and awareness to understand human factors of cyber
  • Secure their applications with strategic thinking and process design
Cyber Technical Advisory

With technology changing by the second, and security breaches ever-more common, cyber security is critical to business. We provide clients with deep technical knowledge and expertise. This may involve implementing protective technologies, helping detect signs of attack and assisting with incident response and recovery activities. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on Cyber Strategy projects, developing your skills throughout your career.

  • Advise on and implement protective technologies, from application protection to digital identity
  • Create and deploy controls as companies move to the cloud
  • Help organisations to respond and recover to cyber security attacks
  • Ethically hack and penetration test an organisation’s resilience

Your professional experience

  • We help our clients to understand and respond to the threats they face utilising our deep technical expertise, solving challenges such as detecting unknown or unseen threats, configuring and managing access solutions to information and systems as well as defining their cyber strategy, and identifying and contextualising the threats and threat actors to an organisation.
  • Within our technical stream we offer a wide variety of options for your cyber career, for example whether you wish to become an ethical hacker, or cyber incident responder, identifying the root cause of a cyber-incident and assisting the organisation to recover effectively. All we ask is that you have a relevant technical degree, or a demonstrable skill within a relevant information security area such as networks or coding.
