Requirements & Qualifications

In order to apply you will need to either have obtained or be studying towards a minimum of a 2.1 in a fully RTPI accredited undergraduate degree, and have graduated by Autumn 2020; OR be studying towards an RTPI accredited Masters, which you will complete by Autumn 2020, having already obtained a 2.1 in any undergraduate degree.

In addition, you must have achieved at least 104 UCAS points (260 UCAS points pre-2017) for your A levels (or equivalent), at least a grade 4 (C) in English language and at least a grade 6 (B) in Maths in your GCSEs (or equivalent).

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte’s Capital Project Advisory team, in a Graduate Project Management role, where you will have the opportunity to advise clients on all aspects of construction and real estate related business matters. We advise on all stages of development from feasibility through to the design, tender and delivery stages and in client advisory roles.

Your professional experience

As a Graduate within the team, working on high profile assignments, you will be exposed to a wide variety of projects, including:

  • Undertaking project management & technical support across a variety of large capital projects including internal corporate Deloitte projects across UK and Europe
  • Advising on the set up and management of large infrastructure and capital projects & programmes e.g. advising on approaches to procurement, contract management and programme controls; and supporting reviews on governance and organisation structure
  • Undertaking assurance reviews on large programmes e.g. reviewing a programme’s readiness to proceed to a further stage, assessing cost, quality, risk and programme
  • Undertaking technical reviews as part of a wider firm M&A engagement or distressed real estate situation
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Real Estate Town Planning:

Work with clients at a strategic level to address complex planning and development challenges. You’ll gain experience across all areas. From housing regeneration schemes and town planning, to preparing and managing planning applications for major commercial, retail, residential, institutional, culture and heritage, sport and infrastructure schemes.

You’ll develop not just your technical expertise but your analytical ability and interpersonal skills too. You’ll work with a broad spectrum of clients including landowners, investors, developers, corporate occupiers, government departments, local authorities, third sector organisations, cultural institutions and infrastructure providers.

Your professional experience

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte’s Real Estate Planning team. We work at a strategic level with our clients to deliver integrated town planning solutions to help deliver major housing, regeneration schemes and infrastructure projects.  We combine our planning consultancy skills with the expertise of colleagues specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment, Development Consultancy, Affordable Housing and Economic Assessment teams to address complex town planning and development challenges. 

We prepare and manage planning applications for major commercial, retail, residential, institutional, culture and heritage, sport and infrastructure schemes. Other work includes provide planning due diligence and reviews for clients and strategic planning which includes site promotion and advising clients on the local plan making process.  

As a Graduate Town Planner within our team, you will be encouraged and supported from the get go, to engage with key projects and to take ownership of appropriate workstreams within project teams.
