  • Our training programme has been designed to cover the basics of the different third party relationships an organisation may have across different industries, the drivers which affect behaviours of business partners, suppliers and customers and the operational processes and control required by an organisation.
  • The Extended Enterprise Risk Management Software team works on behalf of the world’s leading software vendors to deliver software licence compliance inspections which helps our clients manage their extended enterprise risk.
  • The premise of what we do is to conduct inspections across our clients’ customer base to provide our clients with transparency on how their Intellectual Property is being deployed, managed and used by their customers.

Today’s highly complex investigation and litigation environments, along with technological evolutions in areas such as big data, cloud and the pervasiveness of social media, continue to present challenges to digital forensic practitioners. You will be working within a team who deliver quality services to our clients in an ever changing environment.

Your professional experience

Our Digital Forensics team collects and analyses a variety of data types in response to a number of issues, including regulator requests, litigation procedures, data theft or destruction investigations and cyber incidents. We support corporates and their legal teams through the data collection and investigation process, helping to shape their strategy and leveraging technology to gain efficiencies and find evidence.

We utilise industry leading software platforms, supplemented with our in-house customised enhancements and our extensive experience to meet the most challenging and wide reaching data discovery requests. You will work alongside specialists drawn from a wide range of backgrounds who are delivering a wide variety of Digital Forensic services.

In your role as a Digital Forensics technician you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining hardware and software in our forensic lab environments to help our team to conduct digital investigations.
  • Testing and maintaining digital forensic equipment in line with advancements in technology.
  • Assisting in data collection activities such as evidence handling and client data deliveries.
  • Supporting the team in the handling and management of evidential data.

Increasingly, clients are looking for innovative solutions to provide better insight and efficiency than existing industry standard software. Our team builds software platforms to bridge this gap, by leveraging cloud services and cutting-edge technology and applying it to the Forensic domain.

We work closely with colleagues in Forensic Technology, Investigations, Disputes and Financial Crime, to distil innovative ideas into specifications software based Products. Our developers build these Products, following an Agile development methodology. These Products and Solutions include advanced analytics, data visualisation, business process management and automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Every project you’ll work on will be unique and have different challenges. It’ll be up to you and your team members to ensure that you build innovative products that are first to solve some of our client’s most complex problems, using Cloud technology to ensure these Products scale to our global demands.

You’ll attend college training which will be completed over two years. Initially you will attend a six week training program where you will learn the fundamentals of software development, such as software development lifecycle, programming, testing and databases.

After your initial training we will build upon the fundamentals through writing code to testing to deployment. It’s not just software languages that you’ll learn, we’ll train you in technologies such as Amazon Web Services, graph databases and visualisation. We’ll also train you in the best delivery practices from start to finish.

Your professional experience

We build software platforms to provide better insight and efficiency by leveraging cloud services and cutting-edge technology and applying it to the Forensic domain. Our work is extremely varied, and you will have the opportunity to work with other teams within Forensics and other service lines to:

  • Become a member of an Agile (SCRUM) team and have a contribution to all aspects of the development lifecycle
  • Utilise cutting-edge technology to build innovative products that will improve efficiency and provide better insight for our clients
  • Apply best practice quality assurance processes to ensure our products and solutions meet the highest standards of quality
  • Apply industry standard DevOps processes to enable faster release and deployment cycles
  • Help our business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems and needs

Technology Digital Risk (TDR): Could you help clients make the most of digital technology? We provide risk intelligent solutions, advice and managed services. You’ll be involved in all kinds of projects from digital transformation to reviewing current programmes to designing new GRC (governance, risk management and compliance) systems.

Risk Analytics: Whether you’re a data scientist, mathematician or industry expert, you’ll straddle the technical and non-technical sides of business in the UK’s largest Risk Analytics practice. Our team solves a huge variety of data-related issues, from analysing sports performance to helping protect people’s savings to improving efficiency in the NHS.

Your professional experience

  • Business Tax: It’s our job to help our clients identify and design technology solutions that help them overcome forthcoming challenges. From day one, you’ll work closely with clients – big and small - across all industries, on every aspect of their corporate tax whether it be within Tax Management Consulting Technology or Financial Services. Our Global Innovation & Investment Incentives area help our clients match their investment, research, development and innovation plans with current and future incentive opportunities. We also deliver large-scale, international projects, as the tax experts in a multidisciplinary team. There’s plenty of exciting opportunities to combine tax with your passion for technology.
  • Indirect Tax: As an Indirect Tax professional, you’ll get to know all aspects of your client’s business and advise them on business-critical events. Much of this is rooted in law. Which means a big part of your job will be researching legislation and case law and relating it to clients, so you can find effective solutions for them. You could really help clients navigate the uncertainties in-between their tax systems and technology working within our Compliance & Technology area. Wherever you specialise, you’ll become an expert in customs, global trade, VAT and other indirect taxes that affect businesses, minimising the costs for clients, whenever, wherever and however they do business.
  • Ventures: As a Ventures professional, you’ll identify and solve the most complex client problems in areas which are unknown and unimaginable to tax today realizing revenue growth opportunities and transforming the way Deloitte Tax shows up in the market. The Ventures team work with Tax clients on the future of their businesses and tech start-ups and technology partners with whom we have alliances. They also work with Transformation and Digital Tax Solutions to deliver ideas and concepts to the market and internal business team. You’ll work closely with clients - big and small - across all industries, and a community of practice across all our service lines in Deloitte. In Tax Consulting you’ll get to work with and learn from some of the most talented and experienced professionals in the industry. You’ll be learning every day, from new tax legislation to technical skills, being proactive and adapting quickly to different types of work. You’ll have the opportunity to work with FTSE 100 organisations, start-ups and private individuals, helping them solve some of the most complex technological issues their business is ever likely to face.

You will attend The Tax Analyst Academy in your first two weeks at Deloitte. During this time, you will get the opportunity to meet your peers and learn the soft skills and technical skills to operate as a tax professional from day one in the office.

You will then participate in the Tax Analyst Development two-year programme designed to prepare you for promotion to Consultant. The programme comprises of on the job learning, core training, and study for professional qualification training.
