Tax Consulting - Global Employer Services, Graduate Programme

Programme overview

Our Graduate Programme is more than a world-class training scheme, this a permanent job. It gives you a market-leading salary, benefits, a professional qualification, and endless opportunities to learn and progress. You’ll work with clients from the start, on projects that have a genuine impact on their success.

Your opportunity

Two words sum up what we do in Global Employer Services (GES), Mobility and Reward. The first is about helping employers of all shapes and sizes to move their people around the globe, providing expert legal and business advice on everything from immigration to tax. Global employers must make sure their employees comply with local regulations wherever they are in the world. But advising them is about more than just understanding the rules; this is about striking a balance. There’s the need to keep talent motivated and effective, as well as tax compliant while many businesses also need to move people around the world at a moment’s notice. So that’s our job: solving these complex challenges.

As a specialist in Reward, you’ll help global clients develop world-class reward programmes, and innovative pay and benefit structures. You’ll design programmes that motivate employees, align with overall HR and corporate strategies, and are cost-effective and compliant. On top of this, you’ll consult on the reward approach for senior executives and board members. And could even help them manage the tax and regulatory issues involved in business lifecycle stages, such as mergers, acquisitions and restructuring. It’s a broad area that requires expert tax consulting skills and employment tax risk management knowledge. All of which you’ll develop when you join us.

Join us and you’ll not only be among the experts in this field, but the market leaders. You’ll get to use innovation and technology such as business analytics to deliver true insights. You’ll gain extensive knowledge of tax laws across jurisdictions, as well as the consulting skills you need to build great relationships with clients.

Your professional experience

In addition to taking part in the Tax Analyst Development Programme, we will support you in obtaining professional qualifications that will be beneficial to your everyday work and long-term career. As part of the Global Employer Services (GES) department, GES offers the opportunity to study for the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) qualification followed by the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA) qualification, if appropriate. As a Graduate, you would start out in Deloitte’s Tax Academy in your first few weeks. Within Deloitte there is a big range of developmental training that you can make use of throughout your career, and in the past we have also supported our team members with language training.
